This new mountain bike shock uses breakthough suspension technology
using a self dampened air spring. It takes advantage of natural forces that occur in the air spring to damp the free vibrations of a suspension system. It make the hyraulic shock absorber obsolete as the hydraulic shock absorber does the wrong thing at least half the time. When a wheel with a hydraulic shock attached hits a bump its reaction is to rise up over the bump . This causes the shock to compress and store energy, but at the same time the shock absorber resists this movement. This actually results in transmitting some of the movement of the wheel to the body, causing additional movemenet which must then be damped by the suspension.
